The Surf Shelf attaches to your treadmill, elliptical trainer or stationary bike to hold your laptop computer.Would you like to make the time you spend exercising more enjoyable?  Would the ability to watch videos or catch up online while working out on your treadmill, elliptical trainer or stationary bike make your heart beat faster?

Yes?  Well, then, read on!

Far too many people have exercise equipment that does little more than gather dust or serve as a clothes rack.  While home equipment allows you to exercise at your convenience and in the comfort of your home – which is great, and especially nice during these cold and sometimes snowy winter months – there’s an inherent problem with it, as well.

That problem is simple:  Using exercise equipment is mind-numbingly boring, and when you’re bored it’s like time stands still.  Your mind wanders to the million other things you could be doing, and your thoughts begin to focus on your burning muscles.  And, although you may follow through and complete the workout as planned, finding the motivation to endure this boredom again and again, day in and day out, becomes increasingly difficult.

You, my friend, need a Surf Shelf!

The SurfShelf is a nifty – and very affordable – computer laptop holder that attaches to your exercise equipment in minutes.  Voila!  No more boredom!  Now you can “multi-task” and spend your exercise time visiting your favorite websites, watching online videos, playing games, connecting with friends or checking email.  How cool is that?

Happy New Year 2011 and happy new blog at the ShelveShop!

If any of your New Year’s resolutions have to do with organizing your living spaces (or organizing your work spaces, for that matter) and/or updating your décor and making your surroundings more attractive and enjoyable, please consider ShelveShop as a friendly, go-to resource.  You might want to:

  • Bookmark the blog;
  • Add it your RSS feeder; and/or
  • Sign up to receive a once-a-week email that lists and links all the new posts.

The last idea is probably the best since it will give you a handy synopsis of what we share, which you can then pick through and enjoy at your leisure.  The once-a-week format seems to work well — you can keep up to date, but your email inbox won’t get overloaded.

For example, if you’re planning a closet organizer shelving project and not really interested in kitchen or bathroom shelf ideas at this point in time, you’d simply scan the weekly email to see if we’d posted anything about closet shelving systems.  (And, probably, check to see if we had any discount codes for closet shelves to share that week.  I know I would!)

In the days, weeks, months and years to come, we plan to build a collection of shelving ideas, inspiration and recommendations without rival.  This is because we believe shelves can do SO much to equip your spaces for living life well.  A well-equipped environment – one that serves its inhabitants both aesthetically and functionally – makes the days just “go” better.  And, as they say, as goes the day, so go the weeks, months and years.  (It works for nights, too, by the way.)

You may not be convinced yet, but we truly believe shelving that serves you is  an investment in a better lifestyle.  So, please, come on in and make yourself at home.  We look forward to getting to know you better!
